Ejaz Alam Augustine Meets U.S. State Department to Address Minority Rights


August 2, 2024: Ejaz Alam Augustine, Member of the Provincial Assembly Punjab and Chairman of the Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Standing Committee, recently held a significant meeting with delegates from the U.S. Department of State. The delegation included Mr. Harrison Akins, Foreign Affairs Officer, Ms. Lauren C. Laskowski, Foreign Affairs Officer (Democracy and Human Rights), and Tona L. Muffird, Unit Chief (International Religious Freedom), alongside Mr. Salman Choudhary and Yishia Augustine.

During the discussions, key issues concerning human rights and the protection of minorities in Pakistan were addressed, emphasizing the need for international cooperation and support. The meeting underscored the importance of upholding religious freedom and combating discrimination against minority communities.



In addition to his engagements with the U.S. State Department, Ejaz Alam Augustine also met with representatives from the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) during his visit to the United States. This meeting focused on fostering collaboration and sharing strategies to defend religious liberty and human rights.
