In their messages, both leaders paid tribute to the tireless efforts of the working class, highlighting their significant contributions to the nation's progress and prosperity.
Acknowledging the Workforce's Role:
The President emphasized the pivotal role of workers in various sectors of the economy, from agriculture to industry, and from formal to informal sectors. "The workers of Pakistan," he stated, "have played a commendable role in driving the country's progress, contributing to every sector of the economy." He acknowledged their sacrifices and perseverance in the face of challenges such as inflation, unemployment, and the adverse impacts of climate change.
The Prime Minister echoed this sentiment, acknowledging the labourers’ contributions to the country's development. He emphasized the need to protect the rights of workers, particularly those in hazardous jobs and informal sectors, including domestic workers and agricultural labourers.
Commitment to Workers' Welfare:

The President called for policies to ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and social protections for labourers, urging both federal and provincial governments to play an active role in safeguarding workers' rights.

He announced the upcoming National Tripartite Labour Conference, which will focus on occupational safety and health (OSH) across various sectors, including the mining industry.
